Proposal Flash Mob
SoundRoutes Singers from our Hamilton group were asked to perform a flash mob for a marriage proposal on a train from Glasgow to Hamilton on 14th November 2015. It was an amazing, electrifying experience for all involved.
The singers happily gave up their time to rehearse and the meticulous planning paid off – for all the things that could have gone wrong, it went amazingly well 🙂 Stuart met Michelle on the very same train journey five years ago and what a romantic way to propose! Shona and the singers were understandably very nervous, but no doubt not as nervous as Stuart!
Everybody enjoyed going undercover and pretending to be normal passengers until Shona began the singing at Rutherglen… Immediately the other passengers were gobsmacked, some joined in…everybody’s ears pricked up! Then the other groups of the choir joined in until the whole carriage was singing! It was an amazing atmosphere. At the end of ‘You’re Just Too Good To Be True’ the choir turned to Stuart and Michelle, who by this point had twigged that something was happening 🙂
Stuart got down on one knee and how could Michelle say no to that?! Thankfully she said yes to huge cheers and clapping before the choir burst into ‘Marry Me’ by Bruno Marrs.
Congratulations Stuart and Michelle, thank you for inviting us to sing – it was a privilege to be part of such a special moment. Best wishes for your wedding and future together from Shona and all at SoundRoutes.
